Zirra has 10 years of experience specializing in external affairs, research and analysis, and operations in conflict contexts. Prior to working at the World Bank Group, she worked at the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS Secretariat), DAAR Communications PLC, and other organizations in Africa, Asia, and Europe. She has developed expertise in policy analysis, political-economic analysis for post-conflict reconstruction, and interagency diplomacy. She holds MAs in International Economics and Relations from the Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and BAs in International Relations and Political Science from Wartburg College.
