Reiko Ishihara-Brito

Specialist | Compliance

Reiko has worked with CAO’s compliance function since 2016 on cases primarily in Latin America as well as in Asia. She is an anthropologist who has more than 15 years of work and research experience collaborating with vulnerable and at-risk communities in areas of social impact assessments, indigenous peoples, and cultural heritage in the US and Latin America. Prior to joining CAO, she worked at a consultancy firm to help ensure accessible and appropriate health and human services in the US through policy development, research, and evaluation. She has also worked as a consultant with international development organizations including USAID and GIZ. A Japanese national, she received her PhD and MA in Anthropology from the University of California, Riverside, and bachelor’s degree from the University of Tsukuba in Japan.
