Prior to joining CAO, Daniel worked in social development with the World Bank in the East Asia-Pacific region. His work has focused on fragile and post-conflict countries where he has covered issues including land management, resettlement, labor relations, social accountability and justice reform. An Australian national, Daniel is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and holds degrees in law and social sciences from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
