Erica Bach

Erica is a Canadian national and a lawyer specializing in international human rights and access to justice. She has worked for several teams across the World Bank Group on environmental, social, and accountability matters, including the World Bank Grievance Redress Service and the IFC Environmental and Social Policy and Risk department, since June 2019. From 2015 to 2019, Erica administered the independent accountability mechanism of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. She has held other roles, including several positions with the Government of Canada, where she implemented a global grievance mechanism to promote collaboration and dialogue between international mining, oil, and gas operators in Canadian and project-affected communities. Erica holds LLMs from New York University and the National University of Singapore, an LLB/JD from Dalhousie University, and a BA from Concordia University.
