CAO 2024 Annual Report

Our 2024 Annual Report highlights CAO’s activities and performance during fiscal year 2024 (FY24), which spans the period from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024. It features our work across 27 countries, summarizes progress toward CAO’s strategic priorities, and provides data on our global caseload, trends, and operational outcomes.
Highlights and details covered in the 2024 Annual Report include: the reduction in CAO’s case backlog, from 58 percent of the caseload in FY21 to 11 percent in FY24; the processing of 16 new eligible complaints; completion of 13 assessments; new dispute resolution agreements reached in 7 cases; publication of 4 investigation reports with Board-approved IFC Management Action Plans; 1 new advisory publication on responsible exit, as well as advisory work related to remedy and IFC’s Sustainability Framework update; 3 outreach events covering the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Eastern Africa regions; the onboarding of 7 new employees; and 100 percent implementation of CAO’s budget.
