Andrea Prado, a Brazilian national, has over 20 years of experience in environmental and social (E&S) issues, with a specific focus on environmental and occupational health & safety. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Campinas, Master’s degrees in Occupational Safety Engineering and Environmental Management from São Paolo University, a Master’s degree in International Relations from Getulio Vargas University and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from São Paulo University.

Before joining CAO in Washington, Andrea was been based in São Paolo, Brazil, working as a Senior E&S Specialist (STC) for IFC CEG, where she led projects across the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region. Before joining IFC, she was an environmental manager for more than 150 E&S studies related to development projects in various sectors, including renewable energy and agribusiness. Andrea also spent 15 years as an environmental consultant with the Inter-American Development Bank, supporting both public and private sector projects.
