Catalina is a lawyer and researcher specialized in international human rights law and regulatory law and policy. Prior to joining CAO, she worked as a human rights researcher for the Center of Human Rights from the University of Chile on access to justice of groups in vulnerable situations. She also worked at the Due Process of Law Foundation on indigenous peoples’ rights and judicial reform. She also has experience working in the private sector as a counsel in a law firm in public law and economic regulation. A Chilean national, she holds a law degree from the University of Chile Law School, an LL.M. from Duke Law School, and an S.J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.
