Ivan Abdul Dula Remane, a Mozambican national, joined CAO as an Associate Environmental and Social (E&S) Compliance Specialist on January 6th, 2025. With over 14 years of experience in policy and decision support for forest ecosystem and biodiversity conservation, Ivan specializes in integrated landscape approaches and geospatial analysis and modeling. 

Since 2015, he has served as a Natural Resource Management Specialist at the World Bank’s Mozambique country office, where he played a key role in implementing the World Bank's Environmental and Social Framework across multiple sectors and supporting operational activities. Ivan holds a B.Sc. in Forestry from Universidade Eduardo Mondlane in Mozambique and an M.Sc. in Geography and Environmental Resources, with a focus on GIS and Remote Sensing, from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in the United States.
