Pia Zapata, a national of Peru, is an experienced business administration professional with a strong background in procurement, logistics, budget planning, and HR coordination. With over five years of experience at multilateral development banks, she is currently supporting the CAO Compliance Function at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group. Pia specializes in STT/STC contracts, policies, travel procedures, recruitment, and is highly skilled in using systems such as SAP, ServiceNow, Convergence, and Concur.
Prior to joining the CAO, Pia contributed to the front offices of the Gender and Diversity Division and the Migration Unit at the Inter-American Development Bank. She has also gained experience in business consulting, data reporting, and international trade analysis at the Peru Trade, Tourism, and Investment Office, part of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru.
Pia holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Entrepreneurship from the Kogod School of Business at American University and is fluent in both English and Spanish
