CAO Participation During the International Association for Impact Assessment IAIA23

In May 2023, CAO participated in a panel session during the annual meeting of the International Association for Impact Assessment #IAIA23 in Kuching, Malaysia. The panel included representatives from four other Independent Accountability Mechanisms of multilateral development institutions.

The discussion focused on the top five social and environmental complaints and the lessons learned from them. Reiko Ishihara-Brito, CAO's Environmental and Social Compliance Specialist, presented highlights and key insights from CAO investigation case studies, and mentioned recent advisory work on Remedy and Responsible Exit.
