In Memoriam: Rasim Gjoka, CAO Mediator

CAO would like to remember and honor the work and life of Rasim Gjoka, who sadly passed away on May 14, 2024, in Tirana, Albania.

Rasim worked with CAO as a mediator on multiple dispute resolution cases in Albania. While Rasim started his career as a reporter, he was also a Professor of Sociology who became passionate with dispute resolution and was one of the founders of the Albanian Foundation for Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation of Disputes and its Executive Director for many years as well as a founding member of the European Forum for Restorative Justice.

Colleagues remember him as a gentle and respectful man, and an excellent mentor.

Rasim is survived by his wife and two sons. We extend our deepest condolences to all his family and friends.
