Spyros is a Greek national who has contributed to raising mediation awareness globally. He was the first World Bank Group Mediation Officer in Europe and Central Asia from June 2019 to February 2022, mediating workplace disputes. Before that, Spyros was a lawyer, who studied and worked in France, the U.K., Belgium, and Greece. Since 2008 he has been a mediation pioneer in SE Europe after receiving his accreditation from CIArb. He was also trained at Pepperdine University on a Weinstein JAMS Fellowship. In 2014 he founded RESOLVE Mediators, a leading Greek mediation firm. From 2016 to 2019 he created and directed the Athens SMEs Chamber Mediation Centre while teaching mediation and negotiation at MEF University (Turkey). Spyros has trained hundreds of Greek and foreign mediators and lawyers in mediation. He advised the Greek Ministry of Justice. Spyros is a trained ombudsman and the co-author of two reference books on mediation.
